Sebastian Berger is the Executive Director of the Global Student Forum and former Vice-President of the European Students’ Union. He has been an active member of the international students’ movement for several years, holding various leading positions at the local, the national and the European level. His main focus is on internationalisation and mobility, public responsibility and financing of higher education as well as organisational development and finances within the European Students’ Union. Sebastian has a strong work-related background in political communication and public relations as well as campaign management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Vienna. He serves as the Treasurer on the 100 Million Board of Trustees.

Peter Kwasi Kodjie is the Secretary-General of the All Africa Students’ Union. He served on the Board of the Ghana AIDS Commission and the Vice-Chancellor’s Endowment Fund Committee at the University of Professional Studies Accra. Peter represented the students of Afirca on the Advisory Board f the Continental Qualifications Framework and the joint European Union-African Union projects of Harmonization of the Higher Education space in Africa. He previously served as the National Secretary of the Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS), the advocacy body of all professional students in Ghana, and the President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS).

Tracy Kube holds a Masters in International Relations from Cameroon’s school of diplomacy, the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC), and a BA in History of International Relations from the University of Yaounde. She served as Vice-President of the Students’ Association of IRIC (ASSESIRIC) and is currently supporting the development of the All Africa Students’ Union strategic plan. She is an advocate for the education of African youth, campaigning for development, human rights and women in leadership. She also serves as the Communications Director of EN Connect, an NGO that works with the vulnerable; and a member of World Changers Association, which trains and builds leaders.

Amar Lal is a children’s rights lawyer and activist from India. Amar, his parents, and his 6 siblings were debt labourers, bonded to a stone quarry contractor in Rajasthan, India. At the age of 6 he was looking after his siblings and assisting his father in breaking stones. After a rescue intervention by the local activists of Bachpan Bachao Andolan, he and his family were sent to Bal Ashram. With the encouragement of BBA, Amar helped to raise awareness about the exploitation of child labour and has become an international activist, recognised for his work on children’s rights and campaigning against child labour, child trafficking and child sexual exploitation, as well as on the importance of children’s access to education. Amar Lal graduated from Law College in Delhi in 2018, and is now working in the Delhi High Court. He works on cases of child labour and sexual abuse and continues to advocate on child rights.

Dr. Musarrat Maisha Reza is a lecturer in Biomedical Sciences (Education and Scholarship) and the Race Equality Resource Officer at the College of Medicine and Health at University of Exeter, UK, and serves as the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Students’ Association. She has also been appointed to the Board of Directors of Global Peace Chain to work with young people on a journey towards peace and sustainable development. She serves on the Youth Advisory Council of the Youth Skills and Innovation Initiative, is an Associate Fellow of The Royal Commonwealth Society, and a member of the Commonwealth Youth Gender Equality Network. Her advocacy for children’s education led to her appointment as a Global Youth Ambassador for Education at Theirworld. Dr. Reza was invited by the President of the UN General Assembly to speak as a Youth Respondent for the High-Level Sustainable Development Goals Action Event on Education at the UN headquarters in New York. She formulated recommendations on ‘Education for sustainable development and education for global citizenship’.

Edvardas Vabuolas is a final year student of Economics at Aberystwyth University, in Wales, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Monitoring Committee for the Organising Bureau of European School Students’ Unions, having formerly served on its board, where he specialises in improving access to education through digital technologies, media literacy, entrepreneurship & economic literacy. He initially became involved in OBESSU after being elected as Regional President of the Lithuanian School Students’ Union, where he also served as their International Officer.

Fred van Leeuwen became the General Secretary of Education International in 1993. He was re-elected by EI's World Congresses (July 1995, Harare; July 1998, Washington D.C.; July 2001, Jomtien; July 2004, Porto Alegre; July 2007, Berlin; July 2011, Cape Town; July 2015, Ottawa). He currently serves as General Secretary Emeritus of EI. A former teacher in the Netherlands, he joined the Algemene Bond van Onderwijs Personeel (ABOP - now AOb) in 1973 and became responsible for its international affairs in the late 70s. Fred was elected General Secretary of the International Federation of Free Teachers' Unions (IFFTU) at its World Congress in Panama in 1981. He held this post until the IFFTU and the World Confederation of Organisations of the Teaching Profession (WCOTP) formed Education International in 1993. Education International today comprises about 400 unions in more than 170 countries and territories, thus representing 30 million teachers and education employees in education institutions from early childhood to university. Fred currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.
